Well i haven't blogged for a while since things here have been a bit manic...in good ways and bad. So with the kids down for a snooze, i thought i would take the time to update you all.
Ok so i think i told you about our car trouble with not being able to lock it...for a whole week. Bit scary but i think our car is too dirty for someone to steal. Anyway, got the new key card on Tuesday past and paid the outstanding amount. Money money money. All sorted now which is great and i am just so glad that we have a car and that it gets us from A to B and sometimes C along the way.
Last Thursday (24Feb) i was in the kitchen with Carys and we were getting organised to go and collect Caleb from school when my sister Lynette called. Unfortunately it was sad news - my Uncle Billy had died thaty morning. He hadn't been a very well man for sometime but i think he had had enough of pain and lack of independance. My Auny Evelyn had been diagnosed with cancer not long before and my uncle was in respite care for a while until she finished her treatment. My mum and dad had visited him the night before. I don't think it really hit me. I was stunned and shocked but it really hit me at the funeral on Saturday. He only lived across the road from mum and dad and we were always playing with his 3 daughters when we were younger. He used to take us to school when it snowed and we helped him bale the hay and move the cows. He was the eldest in his family and since my grandad had died when my mum was quite young, he was like a father figure and not just a big brother. I am just so grateful that he gave his life to God in November 2010 and so i know i will see him again in heaven. I explained to Caleb a little of what had happened and Norman said that his low that day had been hearing the news. Caleb quickly corrected him and said it wasn't bad news coz we will see him in heaven!! The funeral was hard - hard to see my mum and aunts and cousins so upset and sad. Strange now....life goes on...time waits for no man.
